Sometimes parents notice that their children may fall behind their peers in areas such as speech/language development, social-emotional skills, cooperation, and daily living skills. These children may or may not have a diagnosis of autism or a developmental delay.

Decades of research have shown that the earlier your child begins therapy, the better their chances of catching up to their typically developing peers. For example, 85% of non-verbal children who started Pivotal Response Training (PRT) before the age of 5 developed language. Our team, composed of experienced child psychologists and behaviour therapists, offers PRT and other research-supported interventions. Our aim is to help your child develop language, acquire daily living skills (e.g., dressing, eating, washing, toileting), and enhance social-emotional skills. Another goal is to prepare your child to function as well as possible in school.

Together, we will assess your child’s unique strengths, needs, and challenges, and create a tailor-made plan. Our ultimate goal is to assist your child in catching up to their peers and becoming independent and happy. We will find the most appropriate team member and intervention that fits your family’s needs and preferences.

In addition to PRT, we offer other interventions such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help your child recognise emotions and achieve goals, play-based Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)* to build meaningful skills and good habits, behaviour therapy to manage challenging behaviours, and Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) to enhance functioning in a school environment.

Our team offers treatment at our Autism Center, as well as ambulatory services in Amsterdam, Leiden, The Hague, Rotterdam, Dordrecht, and surrounding areas. We offer therapy at home, in our center, and at school.
